A total of 14 Bumiputera vendors were nominated as National and Regional Champion under the Entrepreneur Development Ministry Vendor Development Program (PPV MED) in conjunction with the Vendor Innovation Partnership Program (VIPP). (Southpac is amongst the Regional Champions.)
In addition to trophies and certificates, vendors were also awarded the prestigious capacity building program incentives, Kaizen Japan Study Tour worth RM 94,000.
Its minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Yusof said MED is commitment to helping empower more local vendors. “Among the improvements that MED has made is expanding the PPV ecosystem to include aspects of financing, including alternative financing such as angel investors, crowd funding, peer-to-peer and listing to Bursa Malaysia,” he added.
